Techrigy’s SM2 is an excellent search tool that will scour the vast world wide web for any mention of your name or any of your websites or blogs. They offer a free account that allows you to search for up to five keywords or phrases and stores up to 1,000 search results which is excellent. The results are can even be sent to your email account on a daily basis if that’s what you want.
SM2 was designed for PR & marketing professionals but there’s no reason why you couldn’t use the tool for researching your own personal brand. The results will surprise you and teach you a few things too.
Final thoughts: There are a bunch of ways to manually search the web for your name and personal brand such as TweetScan for Twitter or google for your blog, but SM2 provides a powerful search mechanism along with impressive analysis tools including charting with comparisons, demographics, geo-location, sentiment and drill-down reports.

Skreemr is an excellent music search engine. Not only does it find songs but it provides almost everything you ever wanted to know about the song and the artist! Here is an example of a search result for the song called “Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional.

skreemr_result

The top of the result after File is the name of the song which is downloadable in most cases.
The share option allows you to create a URL that you can share with others or generate html code to allow you to embed its slick music player on your website.
In the More Info area are several useful features:
LyricWiki will find the words to the song
Wikipedia will display its entry for that artist
Amazon will provide all available material for sale on their site for that artist
YouTube will display all musicvideos for that artist
Gruvr will show you where that artist is playing next and even show a map!
Flickr will shows photos of the artist
ThumbPlay will share ringtones

In short, Skreemr is an awesome search engine if you love music, even if it’s just for the information and not the song itself.
